My education and background is in Art. I have a BA in Studio Art and a Teaching License in K-12 Art. I also have a needlework and craft background with my grandmothers teaching me quilting, crocheting, embroidery, and rug making. With my students, I teach them to use different materials and methods. I do not like to see cookie cutter artwork. I like to see them explore, have fun, creative, innovate. My "Pearls of Wisdom" that I share with my students 1) To be good at something you need to practice. 2) Not everything is going to be a Masterpiece. 3) It is ok to have things not turn out as good as long as you learned something from it. 4) Time spent does not determine the quality or goodness of art 5) Sometimes you need to let an idea "incubate". Not every solution or resolution comes right away. Sometimes you need to take a break from looking at it, sleep on it, do something else and the ideas will come.
